“Ken Ofori Atta Is A Scam On Ghana Finance; I wouldn’t Have Endorsed Him” – Bolga Central MP

With the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta having been approved for his second term in service under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, his approval has come under criticism by the Bolga Central MP.

Following his approval as Finance Minister after his treatment in the United State for post-Covid complications, Parliament’s appointment committee by consensus recommended Ken Ofori-Atta, of which the Majority approved.

In an interview on Joy News, Hon. Isaac Adongo has showed his displeasure. “I did not want to be seen as endorsing somebody that I believe is a scam on Ghana”, he asserts. He adds that although he respects the decision by the Majority, he disagrees with choosing Ken Ofori-Atta as there are very credible people in the NPP who can take the most difficult task of turning the country around.

Hon. Isaac explains that he wasn’t in Parliament for the consensus because he was peeved and he was not ready to be there, but assures Ghanaians that he has remained quite on the issue not because he had been compromised or been spoken to.
