A 23 year old SHS graduate, Rafiq Mumuni from Osino in the fanteakwa south district in the eastern region now a farmer has disclosed why he went into farming.
In a studio interview on Radio 1 with Rahina Shaibu on Ghana Akuafo, a farmer program, Rafiq Mumuni, the 23 year old boy said he went into farming to make money to further his education.
Rafiq is a vegetable farmer but also has 1 acre of cocoa farm.
According to the young farmer, his parents introduced him into farming so he grew to have interest in farming despite all the influences from his friends to make him stop farming.

Rafiq Mumuni is 7 years old in farming and completed Armed Forces SHS and he’s confident things would change even as his friends are trying to lure him into Galamsey as most of his friends are into Galamsey.
Moreover, Rafiq disclosed that he takes his inspiration from Aliko Dangote, a billionaire farmer and business mogul because he also sees farming as a great business.
He ended the conversation by advising his friends to stop the quick money mentality and venture into farming to help them.
He added that the youth should think of the future but not the immediacy, reason why the youth are in Galamsey.
