The National Women Organiser of the National democratic Congress and former minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration, Dr Louisa Hannah Bissiw has expressed her dissatisfaction in the leadership of Akufo-Addo led NPP governance.

According to the women organizer, the fate of Ghana under the leadership of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is shaken and the earlier we realise, the better for us all.

Dr Hannah Bissiw in a bitter tone expressed her worry on job losses, high rate of unemployment, killer taxes and overburdening the citizenry.

“The president is disgracing us. When Covid came, they blamed everything on the Covid. Now we have Covid levy. President Akufo-Addo’s governance has sending Ghana backwards. If everything was right before Covid came, why would you now initiate Covid levy?  You started teacher training allowances and where is it now? Free SHS, what is its state now? You brought big English and the so called Free Education. How is it now? There is now job losses and high unemployment rate.” – Hannah Bissiw said.

Moreover, the NDC stalwart could not fathom why Ghana happens to be the only country in the world to initiate Covid-19 levy.

Dr Hanna Louisa Bissiw was the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and also the former Member of Parliament for Tano South in the  Ahafo  Region of  Ghana. She is a member and the National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress in Ghana.

Free SHS flagship program was one of the mantra among the mantras in the first term of the president and has been touted as one of the best achievements of the Akufo-Addo led NPP government. However, there has been reportedly flaws and challenges in this policy though there is a promise to solve all issues pertaining to the Free SHS.
