A member of the communication team for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC in upper Manya Krobo constituency in the eastern region, Rudolph Kojo Mante has revealed that seeking for job in Ghana now has not been on a silver platter.

According to him, Ghanaians and of course the citizens now have to borrow some names before they secure jobs.

In a studio discussion on Radio 1 100.7fm, the outspoken communication member Rudolph Kojo Mante registered his unpleasant concern on the hardships in Ghana and blamed it on the favouritism and nepotism the  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

He made mention of a former ambassador to South Africa who came out openly to say that if he is to recruit workers, he would consider NPP members first.

“If NPP leaves power, things will change. This is the only political party in government that has publicly stated that they will serve NPP members first when it comes to recruitment because NPP members are more important. I’m referring to the former Ambassador to South Africa, H.E. George Ayisi. He said it. He said it in public and the president didn’t punish him.” – Rudolph Mantey said.

He also expressed worry on why the current government does not advertise for recruitments into the security services. Rudolph Mantey is of the view that that has made it possible now for people to borrow names to secure jobs.

“For some time now, they do not advertise recruitments into our security services. It is very serious! Very Serious! Things are very bad to the extent that people have to add some names to theirs before they can secure jobs.  We have politicized everything in Ghana now.” – Rudolph Kojo Mantey stressed.

He stressed further that everything in Ghana now is about whom you know and who knows you.

The NDC communicator concluded that it is not in the interest of the nation to politicize our job recruitments.
