The former General Secretary of Christian Council Of Ghana who doubles as the convener for Christian Advocacy Africa, Rev. Dr Opuni Frimpong has waded into the controversies and justifications surrounding the All Die Be Die and Do or Die mantra.
According to the experienced clergy, both statements from the two statesmen are uncalled for in that both the current president, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo and the former president, John Dramani Mahama are guilty of the outcome of their statements.
In a phone interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay Fm, an Accra based radio station, the man of God strongly condemned statements made by Nana Addo prior to election 2016 as well as that recently made by John Dramani Mahama as he believes the incite the young generation to take the law into their own hands to misbehave.
” Prior to every election in Ghana, these two political parties make unpalatable statements and go free. After the 2020 election, the Electoral commission has announced the death of about 8 people but none of these parties has organized a memorial service for them. But they are again unleashing the same kind of statements. Both Nana Addo and Mahama are guilty and they have not repented. ” – Rev Opuni Frimpong.

He advised that the statesmen should focus on the nation’ s development and solve unemployment issues, instill discipline and construct good roads for the people of Ghana. He added that it’ s time they establish themselves on the grounds of relevance.
” Let us hear relevance. Let us see the prominence of the nation. Let us hear relevance of our political leaders. This is not the time for All Die Be Die, Do or Die, or Boot For Boot. Let our governance system focus on relevance. Whether it is idiomatic or not, it is not necessary now” – Rev Dr Opuni maintained.
