After the departure of Ratomir Djokovic as Black Stars head coach in 2006, the team has had six different permanent and two caretaker coaches who have all attempted breaking the jinx of winning Ghana’s fifth Africa Cup of Nations trophy.

C.K Akonnor was sacked only 10 games into his reign as Black Stars head coach, despite qualifying the team to the AFCON 2021 tournament in Cameroon next year.

The following video compares his record as head coach of the Black Stars with the other managers the country has had 15 years since the departure of Ratomir Djokovic.
