Takoradi ‘Pregnant’ Woman Granted Bail By Court

Josephine Panyin Mensah, 29, the suspect at the centre of a fake pregnancy has been granted bail of GHC50,000 with two sureties.
Panyin who appeared before the Takoradi Circuit Court, today pleaded guilty to all charges.
The charges include deceit of public officer, publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.
According to Peace FM’s Western Regional Correspondent, Appiah Danquah the Takoradi woman had five lawyers who offered their services pro bono and pleaded that Panyin be granted bail.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to October 14.
