Managing Director of Hollard Insurance and a father of three, Daniel Boi Addo says the era where children were shot down for asking many questions is past.
He believes children now more than ever must be encouraged by their parents and adults to ask more questions and satisfy their curiosity.
According to him, this generation of children should not be made to suffer the plight of the older generation. He proceeded to indicate that there is power in curiosity.
“I teach my children hard work, integrity and curiosity. We disregard the power of curiosity and that is problematic. The old generation suffer because we were not encouraged to ask questions. My 6 year old will ask you a question and you will be surprised. We need to encourage our kids to be curious,” he posited in an interview with Rev. Erskine of the Y-Leaderboard Series which airs on Y107.9FM’s Myd-Morning Radio Show.

Sharing some tips on fatherhood, he charged fathers to let their children understand the concept of saving and the importance of living within their means.
The father of 3 who got married at 35 indicated that he was surprised at getting married at such a stage in life. “I got married at 35 and I had been working for almost 10 years. I found a good woman and have a good life with 3 kids. I easily form relationships and I am surprised it took me long to get married.”
Admitting that it is difficult to manage his personal and work life, he advised fathers to find a balance between both.“
