Akufo-Addo Tours Eastern Region, All You Need To Know

The President of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo started his tour in Eastern from the 5th of October – 7th of October 2021.

In a phone interview the deputy regional communication director of NPP who doubles as the eastern regional NABCO Director, Alhaji Seidu popularly known in politics as Alhaji Opass, he disclosed the itenary of the president’s visit in the region.

According to him, the president, on his first day passed through Nkawkaw to Atibie to inspect the ongoing Atibie Government Hospital. He then moved to Mpraeso to inspect some developmental projects in the constituency.


The president and his entourage did not end there but continued to Obo. From Obo, he continued his tour to Begoro to commission a road project (Osiem -Begoro road).

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo later in the day moved to New Juaben North to inspect a Garment industry which falls under the one district one factory flagship program. i.e. Maa Grace Garment Industry, formerly private owned but refurbished under Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.


On the second day, he will move to Aburi to commission a newly built Technical and Vocational School as well as open the Aburi Government Hospital for use.

At Akropong, the President is expected to visit a shoe factory there which also falls under the one district one factory flagship program and later commission the newly built District Assembly.

Among other things, the president will inspect the ongoing road construction in Somaya.

He will then commission the new Asene -Manso- Akroso District Assembly. Akim Oda will be the next place he will visit to also inspect the development of the market and later join the chiefs durbar at Akyem Wenkyi.
