Thank You For Fixing The ‘Azonto Road’ Before Leaving Office – Ofosu Ampofo Lauds JM

The former president of Ghana and 2020 presidential candidate for the NDC, former president John Dramani Mahama is lauded for his massive achievements in the eastern region and the National Chairman for the NDC, Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has waded into the said praise.

Among all other projects the former president did for the eastern region, the national chairman praised his 2020 flag-bearer for fixing a deplorable road they once called Azonto road.

Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo made this known when addressing the eminent regional house of chiefs in the eastern region as part of schedules for the NDC’s ‘Thank You tour’ in the region.

“Indeed we can not forget about the road that used to be called the Azonto road and all of you who know the Azonto road. The Azonto road was the road that linked Nsawam, Adeiso, Asamankese to Kade. Mr President, we thank you for fixing that road for us during your tenure of office.” – Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said.

He added that there are a lot more projects and interventions former president John Dramani Mahama gave to the citizens in the region.

“We can talk about various water projects and several other interventions that His Excellency gave to the people of eastern region. It is our prayer that one day the good lord will give you the opportunity to come and finish the unfinished agenda that you started” – He expressed.

The NDC led by former president John Dramani Mahama embarked on a one day tour in the eastern region to thank the citizenry for supporting his bid in the 2020 election. They first had media engagement at Sunrise fm then met the Eastern region house of Chiefs.

The team left to meet the executives of the local council of churches and then to meet the Chief Imam and the zongo community and finally met the party members, supporters and sympathizers of the NDC at the Culture center.
