In a virtual meeting on the 29th of October, 2021 with Mr Carl Amanor Sackey, the immediate past president of Information Systems Audit and ControlAssociation (ISACA), Accra Chapter, during a Bright Media Series Conversation on cyber security, organized by MTN Ghana, he advised the citizenry to be vigilant on cybercrimes.
The virtual hap was focused on creating awareness on cyber security threats and safety measures.
Mr Sackey drew attention to the sharing of devices with other devices and explained further that one ought to be careful of the notifications that come when sharing devices with other devices. 
“Sharing your device to other devices is one of the easiest ways for the fraudsters to get access to your information on your device.”
He added that there is a need to take note of the messages that pops up when connecting one device with another before proceeding.  “If there is a need to accept the message, carefully read through and make sure it’s well understood” – He maintained.
Mr Sackey further advised the general public use strong passwords on their  devices and not to save passwords in a browsers. Moreover, Mr Sackey said those are some of the ways that fraudsters get access to people’s account, so there is the need to clear the history and the cache after using the browser.
He inspired institutions to fund in cybersecurity to prevent cyberpunk from having access to their information .
Mrs Jacqueline Hanson Kotei, the EnterpriseSecurity Specialist at MTN Ghana, also said as digital citizens, it was crucial that consumers took their cybersecurity very seriously.
