37th Farmers Day Celebration: Cocoa Farmers Are Only Recognised In Year Of Elections – Mr Daniel Amenyor

The president for So mu Yie Cocoa Farmers Association in Fanteakwa south district in the eastern region, Mr Daniel Amenyor has revealed that cocoa farmers don’t know if there’s an existence of the celebration of Farmers Day after election.


Mr Amenyor speaking on Radio1 Morning Show with Nana Kwabena Addo on 3rd of December, 2021 has made some revelations on the celebration of Farmers Day.


According to him, Cocoa farmers were only recognised last year where officers trained them nicely but after election, no show.
“Ever since they rewarded last year, we have not heard from them again and we the cocoa farmers are wondering if truly there’s  existence of Farmers’ Day celebration of farmers day” , he added.

“If farmers day is approaching, they select Officers for visitation to check our farms, train us on what to do to get quality food products for us to know farmers day is approaching but this year we didn’t see anything “ -he subjoined.

He ended with, “if not for the interview today I didn’t even know today is farmers day”.
