Ghana Economy Now Better Than Uk – MP Reveals

In as much as a majority of Ghanaians are vehemently praying and doing everything possible to travel overseas for greener pastures, the fanteakwa south legislator, Hon. kofi Okyere Agyekum who serves as the ranking member on parliament’s Public Account Committee has revealed that the Ghana’s economy is now far better than the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and other European countries.

Despite the fact that a section of the Ghanaian citizenry are complaining of hardship in Ghana, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum a.k.a. Hon. Arafat explains why the standard of living in Ghana is better than that in United Kingdom.

In a studio discussion on Radio 1 100.7fm, Hon. Arafat noted that the unbelievable has happened as the United Kingdom, UK is experiencing hardship and bad economy. He added that condition at UK is worse that such has never happened in the country for over 40 years.

“There is a report that the prices of goods in UK is alarming. This has never happened for the past 40 years but it is happening to them now. The standard of living there is very high compared to living here. It is not only, same is happening in America, Canada, Germany and several countries overseas all because of Covid-19” – Hon Arafat said.

He added that Ghanaians must exercise patient and help the government raise revenue to support the rise in the growth of the Ghanaian economy. Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum appealed to the general public particular his constituents to support the ‘Almighty’ e-levy as the impacts of the deadly coronavirus pandemic slowed the economic growth of most countries where Ghana wasn’t spared.

“If there is hardship in Ghana as some may complain, Ghana is not passing through this alone. The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic caused it. We need to bounce back so support E-levy and let’s build Ghana once more” – Hon. Arafat maintained.
