Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey, has cautioned the ‘Operation Clean your frontage’ task force to only operate in the mandate given to them.
The “Operation Clean Your Frontage” initiative aims to enforce sanitation regulation within the Greater Accra region as part of the “Make Greater Accra Work” programme being championed by the Regional Coordinating Council.
In an interview on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo‘, the Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central Constituency said the members of the task force made up of over 3,000 people will be trained by the Ghana Armed Forces but “at the same time we’ve told them that they’re not soldiers and they’re not going to be trained as soldiers and they can never be soldiers”.
The Greater Accra Regional minister further indicated that the initiative is backed by law and urged Ghanaians not to flout it.
