The Boys Played Well But Luck Wasn’t On Our Side – Heart’s Coach After Losing To Aduana Stars

Coach Samuel Boadu commends his team play despite losing to Aduana Stars in match day 20 of the Ghana Premier league 2021/2022 2nd league season.

The defending champions, Accra Hearts of oak painfully lost by a goal nil courtesy first half injury goal from Aduana’s Sam Adams.

Even when hopes were high and waiting for equaliser and subsequent winning goal, clear chances were squandered and the game ended with the same first half victory.

Coach Samuel Boadu in his post match interview revealed that the players did well by creating all the chances they could but unfortunately couldn’t connect a single chance.

“if we were not creating chances then it means it was a problem from the technical team. But for the team to create chances but unable to connect means it was had luck. My boys played well but luck wasn’t on our side” – coach Samuel Boadu said.

When asked whether Sulley Aliu Muntari’s absence affected the game, he revealed that every with the caliber of Muntari in his team will wish he plays always.

Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak since 2012 have both won 3 times, drawn 4 times and lost 3 times to each other.

Aduana’s victory puts them in the second position with 36 points traing the league leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko by 7 points with a game at hand.

Aduana Stars happens to be the only team in the league to have won all their last 4 matches.

Hearts of Oak on the other hand sits on the 6th position with 29 points.
