The Chief of Wirenkyiren Amanfrom in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area in the Eastern region, Barima Ofosuhene Peprah IV, together with the citizenry and other elders of the town make a passionate appeal to the president, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Asabea, Ghana Highway Authority, Ghana Roadsafety Authority, and other stakeholders to as a matter of urgency come to their aid to construct speed Ramps in the town.
According to Barima Ofosuhene Peprah IV, constructing the speed Ramps will be part of the efforts to mitigate the effects of road crashes in his community.
He added that the whole community was in turmoil on Saturday evening around 4pm when 5 natives of the town were crashed by a speeding Landcruiser. Two died on the spot and the other three were rushed to Kyebi government hospital.
One of the victims has been referred to Koforidua Government hospital but the remaining two are still seeking health care at the Kyebi Government Hospital.

Unfortunately, the vehicle number of the said Landcruiser could not be identified as citizens could only remember a V8 black colured Landcruiser.
The bodies of the dead, a 1year old twin and a 43year old woman are deposited at Kyebi morgue pending investigation.
Moreover, the chief appealed to the security services especially IGP and the Kyebi Police Command to hunt for the vehicle and the perpetrator to be persecuted.
