Ghana Records 3,932 Road Crashes, 4,025 Injuries And 734 Deaths In The First Quarter Of 2022

The Ashanti Region tops the total road crashes fatalities recorded in the first quarter of 2022 with 139 absolutes representing 18.94%.
Greater Accra followed with 137 while Eastern region also recorded 136 representing 18.66% and 18.53% respectively.
In all the sixteen regions, 3,932 road crashes were recorded within the first quarter of the year, trailing 2021 by 77. The percentage change is -1.92%.
About 4,025 were injured in the first quarter of 2022 while 2021 in same quarter recorded 4200. With a difference of 175 representing a percentage change of -4.17. Souls perished in 2022 were 734 when 771 died in the same quarter last year. The percentage change is -4.80% as the difference is 37.
