We should stop selecting short players for Black Stars – Hassan Ayariga charges

Ahead of the big tournament to be staged in Qatar later this year that the Black Stars will also be participating, Ghanaian politician and entrepreneur Hassan Ayariga has offered a timely piece of advice.
According to him, we should take height into consideration when calling up players for the team because presently most of the players in the Black Stars are too short.
Speaking to the GHOne TV, the All People’s Congress (APC) and the candidate of the People’s National Convention (CPP) for the December 2012 presidential election said height plays a crucial role in football matches.
He cited the World Cup playoffs between Ghana and Nigeria- noting that the Nigerians had an advantage physically and mentally because of their huge players compared to the Black Stars.
