Following an epidemic of the Hanz virus in Ghana, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has issued a public health notice.
The Hanz Virus, also known as H3N2v, is an influenza type most often seen in pigs, birds, and people, according to a statement from the Service.
The virus is considered to be more readily transmitted to people from pigs than previous strains of swine flu. –
Adults are more likely to be able to fight off influenza since they typically have a higher level of immunity. An H3N2v virus patient will have a fever, a cough, and a runny nose.
