Anyinam To Host The Maiden N. A. Kyerema Science And Technology Fair

As part of the efforts to bridge the widening gap between the rural child and city child in the counrty, a non profitable Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), N. A. Kyerema foundation is organising a novel Science And Technology fair in the Atiwa East District in the eastern region.

The approach is in line with the government’s initiative to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics especially among girls.

The all important program is slated for Thursday, June 30 2022 at the Anyinam Presby School Park

Bringing technology to the Rural Child – All Hands To the Wheel

Science Fair Highlights

Pupils would be taken through activities not limited to;

  • Zipline Prototype Drone
  • Service & Entertainment Drones
  • Robotics Display
  • Hydroponics (Planting without soil)
  • Live cell (malaria, Covid cells) viewing under microscopes
  • Lab experiments and many more

Target

The event targets all school kids particularly those in Juniour High level in all the 26 communities in Atiwa East District Assembly.

Due to this, the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amotia Ofori Panin (paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area), Barima Okogyeabusua Baning Duodu – chief of Anyinam, Hon Asenso Boakye – Minister for works and housing, Hon Abena Osei Asare – Deputy Minister of Finance and MP for Atiwa East, Hon. Lawyer Nkansah Panin – DCE, Atiwa East, the Regional and District Directors of Education among other dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion.

However, N. A. Kyerema foundation appeals to all parents, school heads and elders to release and make their wards available for the novel fair. It’s aimed at bridging the gap between the rural child and the city child, the Ghanaian and Western Child in general.
