At the day 1 of Arise Ghana Demonstration in Accra, the National Communication officer for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi gave a message to a section of the Ghana Police service.
According to him, power is transient and those officers who are remote controlled by the President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will have them to contend with if the NDC wins power.
However, Sammy Gyamfi expressed his satisfaction for the outcome of the demonstration though they felt intimidated by the Police.
“Demonstration is not a keep fit. We are all here in our numbers to send a clear message to Bawuliar and King Promise Akufo-Addo that enough is enough and already that signal is been sent strong. The police who are being remote controlled by Akufo-Addo have tried to oppress us and we have resisted their oppression. Power is transient so to all those police officers, ‘their time will come’, don’t worry” – Sammy Gyamfi expressed

He added that if the police are manhandling them, the Arise Ghana demonstrators have no missiles to use but would use their voices.
Sammy Gyamfi reiterated their position on using their original routes and not that given them by the Ghana Police Service.
“This is just the beginning of the demonstration. In Brussels people gather and hold placards to register their displeasure and it goes on across the world. We won’t use their routes today and tomorrow. We won’t go to their independence square today and tomorrow.” – Sammy added.
Sammy revealed that they have served the purpose of which the demonstration was organised despite been marred with few confrontations and would continue and end it today.
