The erstwhile Ashanti regional Chairman of the Convention People’s Party, Mr A. S. Osei Yaw, has cheered the member of Parliament for North Tongu Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for steadily exposing Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for over spending on foreign travels.

Speaking in an interview with sefwiweb.com, he castigated members of the ruling New Patriotic Party for supporting the extravagant lifestyle of the President.

He added that Ghanaians should invariably be realistic about authority, regardless of the party in power.

“What has Okudzeto Ablakwa done wrong to reveal the truth? The system is unduly intense, and the government is aware, so if they keep spending impulsively, he needs to uncover them,” he included.

Moreover, he urged H. E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to refrain from such behaviors but to focus on the welfare of the populace.

‘‘Akufo Addo must avoid superfluous expense. Ghanaians are weeping and you keep stirring them. He should regard the people who voted for him to win power’’.

Mr. Osei Yaw challenged the NPP government over the hypothesis behind the construction of the national cathedral.

“Erecting a cathedral in this fiscal pressure is unhealthy. Nana Addo must suspend this populace’s perspectives. We don’t need a cathedral at this end, all what is needful is payment of seven months arrears of the Nabco trainees, provision of desks for the school children and others,” the politician suggested.
