Q1. Who can register as a member of the NDC?

Answer; Any Ghanaian, who is 18 years or above and is not a member of any other political party. 

Q2. When and where can I register as a member of the NDC?

Answer; You can register to be an NDC member only at a branch meeting of the NDC in your catchment area from 15th June to 21st August, 2022. The branch is the structure of the NDC at every polling station of the country. If you do not know where and when your branch meets in your area, kindly visit the NDC office in your constituency for directions to your branch.

Q3. How much is registration/subscription fee for new party members?

Answer; Registration/subscription is free for all persons. However, all new registrant are required to apply for a new party ID card after registration by paying GHS20, which is the cost of the production of the ID card. 

Q4. What if a new registrant does not have GHS20 to pay for a party ID card immediately after registration?

Answer; That is not a problem at all. Note that registration/subscription is free for all persons. All new registrants will have their details captured in the party’s register and be given a slip as proof of registration, with which they can temporarily participate in the activities of the party including voting. All such new registrants are required to apply and pay for their membership ID cards as soon as possible.

Q5. If I am a National executive or Regional executive or Constituency executive, can I contest for an executive position at the branch?

Answer; No. If you are a National executive or Regional executive or Constituency executive you cannot contest at the branch level, unless you resign your position as National, Regional or Constituency executive before you can contest at the branch. 

Q6. If I was registered at a branch before the end of the year 2018, but I now live in a different branch/constituency, can I transfer my membership to the new branch?

Answer: Yes you can transfer your membership to where you now live. 

Q7. If I transfer my membership from one branch/constituency to a new branch located in my current place of abode, can I vote or contest for an executive position at the new branch/constituency in the upcoming elections?

Answer; Yes, you can contest in the new branch or constituency if you transfer your membership to that branch or constituency.
