I Am A Product Of Prophecy But There Are So Many False Prophecies Today – Methodist Bishop

Asiakwa Methodist church is 90 years old, say a word to them.

Even as so many Christians and denominations have their various opinions with regards to prophecy, the Koforidua Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Rt Rev. Dr Emmanuel Aware Kusi has waded into the controversy.

According to the renowned Man of God, his birth was prophesied and it came to pass but today’s prophecies give many Christians options to ascertain the authenticity of prophecy.

Speaking at the dedication service and commemoration of 90 years anniversary of the Emmanuel Methodist Church of Asiakwa in the Osiem circuit under the Koforidua Diocese, Rt Rev. Dr Emmanuel Asare Kusi vehemently stated without mincing words that he is not against prophecies but against false prophecies.

“My birth was foretold and it came to pass. One prophet told my mother when she would conceive and asked her to go to her home town to deliver when the time is due and she did that. He even told my mother to name me Emmanuel and that’s the name she eventually gave me. So I am not against prophecy but these false prophecies are overshadowing the true ones” – Rt Rev Dr Emmanuel Asare Kusi said.

He was the main speaker of the ceremony that onboard various Clergies, congregation, Chiefs and citizenry from the various circuits in the diocese.

Rt Rev Dr Emmanuel Asare Kusi preached on the theme: “Living The Transformed Life In Jesus Christ” ( Romans 12: 1-2)

He used the occasion to urge the congregation to as matter of fact live a deserving life of Christians, rely on him for his glory and shy away from false prophecies.

Asiakwa Methodist church is one of the oldest Methodist branch churches in the Diocese.

Other dignitaries and opinion leaders of the town including representatives from the camp of Dr Kingsley Agyeman, head of Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
