The leadership of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, led by Hon Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman, visited the Krobo land today to commiserate with them on the unfortunate circumstances between them and the electricity company of Ghana.

Hon Ofosu Ampofo urged that there should be adequate sensitization especially from the chiefs and opinion leaders so as the two groups would be on the same table.

Moreover, he implored that the security agencies deployed there put themselves in the shoes of the citizenry while finding solutions to the issue at hand.

“We brought our MPs here, they are our intermediaries and we will urge them together with the relevant parliamentary committee to possibly urge the parliamentary committee on mines and energy to intervene in this matter. We want to side with the Chiefs that there should be more dialogues because when the people get more of the education, especially through the chiefs and opinion leaders, they will understand it better. We will want to urge the security agencies to ensure that they are dealing with human beings and they must be humane in their approach to dealing with this matter” – Hon. Ofosu Ampofo said.
