Who occupies Flagstaff House after the 2024 general election?

With two years to the 2024 general election in Ghana, the two strongest political parties,1 NPP and NDC are in wide hopes of winning.

While the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, believes it’s time to break the 8 years jinx for a political party reign in government, the National Democratic Congress, NDC, also thinks the NPP has failed abysmally and does not deserve another chance.

For these and other related reasons, the chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has waded into the challenge as to who occupies the Flagstaff House after the 2024 election.

He therefore sends a message to the president, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to start preparing his handing over notes and park from the the house because it’s obvious the NDC are winning the 2024 election.

He made this call in a one – on – one Television discussion on an Accra based United television, on Wednesday August 10 2022 during the Mpu ne Mpu segment of their late ‘Evening News’.

Chairman Ofosu Ampofo looked so confident and made the pronouncement as if, if elections were held today, NDC would win.

He touched on how the Akufo-Addo led administration has failed in almost all aspects of the economy and believes with that performance, Ghanaians would never give the another mandate to lead the nation.

Preparations for election 2024

The ruling New Patriotic Party has successfully conducted their internal elections from polling station to the national level with Mr Stephen Ayesu Ntim as their National Chairman.

The NDC on the other hand earlier begun restrategizing campaign and has just begun their branch elections.

NDC vs NPP

Though NDC are yet to elect their National Executives but if Chairman Ofosu Ampofo is retained as the chairman, will chairman Stephen Ntim be a match for him?
