The Registrar of Scholarships, Okyeman Kanea Hon. Dr. Kingsley Kwame Agyemang, has footed the medical bill of Mr. Bismarck Opoku Ofori, a student of Kibi Presbyterian College of Education (KPCE), to enable him undergo a hip bone replacement surgery.

The cost of the surgery, according to Mr. Frederick Antwi Boasiako, President of the College’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC), is thirty-four thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 34,000), and the amount has, accordingly, been lodged fully in the SRC account by the Scholarships Secretariat Registrar.

In a phone conversation, the SRC President was full of praises for Dr. K.K. Agyemang, for this kind gesture. According to him, the SRC, and for that matter, KPCE, would be organizing a brief ceremony to present the cash for the above purpose.

Speaking with Mr. Michael Ampem Darko, Convenor of Kingsley’s Educational Programmes, he said Dr. K.K. Agyemang had seen the appeal out there and instructed him (Mr. Darko) to take it up. He added that he had spoken to the College’s Principal as well as the SRC President, and this, according to him, is what has resulted in this success.

The Registrar of Scholarships doubles as the President’s Appointee for the second consecutive time, on the Governing Council of the aforementioned Kibi-based tertiary institution, and knowing the kind of generosity deposited in him, I would say his re-appointment onto this Council, is a good omen for the College.

When someone showers God’s blessings on a cheerful giver, this is one such classical example. Okyeman Kanea and Abuakwa South CEO, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Kwame Agyemang, God richly bless you for such good deeds. You are really a blessing to our Constituency and our Party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Once again, God bless you.”
