Following his comments about who really has the right to criticize his work, Sarkodie has managed to enrage a few powerful figures in the media.
The influential fashionista and Twitter user sat down with the eminent rap artist to talk about his extraordinary career and the current climate of politics in the music industry.

Sarkodie is on record as having said that many radio presenters have been working in the area for over 20 years but have not yet received their big break.

Every time he hears criticism from people who are not qualified in the media, it throws him off because, in his perspective, there is a fundamental lack of equality.

Since Sarkodie’s message was released, various snippets of it have been trending across various social media, and DJ Slim has been shouting about it.

According to the DJ of ABN Radio One fame, Sarkodie has been avoiding the responsibility of representing Ghanaian rap outside of the country while at the same time refusing to acknowledge that he is not beyond criticism.

Adding that, DJ Slim feels Sarkodie is frustrated because he started music when Davido and Wizkid were kids but they’re far gone.

DJ Slim postulated that Sarkodie’s relevancy in the game is perhaps diminishing and needs to sit up and stop venting his frustrations on innocent Ghanaian presenters, ceteris paribus!
