Afia Schwar renders an apology to the court

Controversial comedian Afia Schwar has rendered an apology to the court and the general public for her comments made on United Showbiz on UTV.
Afia Schwar has released a statement in connection to her case still pending at the Tema High court. She has apologized for delving into matters which was already before the court and commenting wrongly on the case.

It would be recalled that the court convicted the host of United Showbiz Nana Ama McBrown and her panelists Kwame A Plus and Mr. Logic for contempt of court over a court application filed by Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi.

Afia Schwar during the show on United Showbiz entertainment said that the Ashante Regional Chairman, Chairman Wontumi slept with her and had an affair for 16 months. She also used unprintable words on the applicant, Chairman Wontumi.

The apology comes after the court found her guilty and sentenced her to 10 days in prison. In the statement released, Afia Schwar has promised to conduct herself well and will not do anything that will dissatisfy the public.
