Following the controversy that shrouded Wizkid’s infamous no-show in Ghana over low ticket sales, actor and musician Lilwin firmly believes that no artist is capable of filling any stadium in Ghana for a concert.
In an Instagram Live session with celebrity blogger Zionfelix, Lilwin who has tasted success mainstream success with hit songs such as Ladder and Mama Boss Papa despite being an actor, said some artists have lied in the past claiming they were able to fill a stadium during their concerts just to for clout and nothing else.
The Kumawood veteran cited examples like the S Concert, Maccasio’s shows in the north and other big concerts that took place in the past.
The conversation, as we mentioned in the opening paragraph, sprang up after Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, despite his huge persona, opted out of his concert scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium when it came to his attention that only 5,000 tickets out of over 45,000 have been sold out for his show.

Similarly, Shatta Wale found himself on the same tangent when he said even he himself has not been able to fill the stadium to full capacity- hence it is difficult for any artist in Ghana to do so.
“Unless it’s a political rally, if it’s not NPP or NDC or maybe Pastor Mensah Otabil or Pastor Chris, I am telling you people something, write it down, or Duncan Williams, or Bishop Agyin Asare, or maybe it’s Kotoko and Hearts, we have never had a show like that at the stadium where you can see that the place is filled up for one artiste,” the SM boss in a video shared on Twitter.
