The Board Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Rex Omar has revealed why he is still serving even though he is subject to insults.
According to Rex Omar, he works as a board chairman voluntarily because he is not being paid for his services. He disclosed that he loves working at GHAMRO because he wants to acquire more knowledge.

He remarked on Kastle FM “Working for GHAMRO is not something I’m paid for it is voluntary work and I’m using the knowledge I have acquired on my own because nobody has taught me to render such services.

“I feel that I’m just helping GHAMRO to be an effective organization to serve the entire country and I’ve been part of this for over 20-something years now,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.

“People who insult me should know that not every one of us can dedicate their time to such voluntary work but I love my country that’s why I’m still involved,” he disclosed.

He added “When I stop what I’m doing at GHAMRO today I can find something to do with my life in fact it will not take anything away from me because I have my life to leave with or without GHAMRO.

“But people do not understand so they just talk anyhow but when I first went to GHAMRO there wasn’t even an administrative office for the organization,” he ended on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
