With a keen heart and determination to develop his community as chief, Barima Opoku Okyere I, Chief of Akyem Nyanoa in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area cries out for help.
He makes a passionate appeal to the government, Non-Governmental organizations, Philanthropists, the general public and indegenes of Nyanoa, near and far to as a matter of urgency come to his aid to build library project and health facility for the community.
Barima Opoku Okyere I, repeatedly revealed in an interview with the media that, though there are so many challenges the community is facing, he would be a bit relieved if the community gets these two projects as soon as possible.
“I have so many challenges at Nyanoa. We don’t have good roads, no job opportunities but two major challenges I wish they are addressed asap are Library and health facility. Nyanoa has an E-Block for day SHS but does not have school library. The community is fast expanding and the CHPs compound is under serving the population. So I need help to build library and health facility for the community” – Barima Opoku Okyere I said.

Barima Opoku Okyere revealed further that patients with critical conditions are forced to be transported to Agona Swedru or Asamankese for proper health care delivery.
He added that his office is ready to make lands available for the two projects when the need arises.
Akyem Nyanoa is in the Upper West Akyem District in the eastern region of Ghana.
