The woes of Patricia Asiedua, aka Agradaa, keeps compounding by the day as she has once again been hauled before an Accra Circuit Court, this time, for sharing the naked pictures of Emmanuel Appiah Fomum, a ‘Prophet’ on live television while making a mockery of him.

Agradaa, who is before two separate courts on defrauding by false pretences and charlatanic advertisement charges, is also accused of distributing naked pictures on social media platforms to others, including a witness in the case.

Court documents indicate that the TV show on which the naked pictures were shared on was also streamed on YouTube and Facebook, where a witness in the case saw it and informed the complainant.

She has been charged together with four others with two counts of abetment of crime and non-consensual sharing of intimate image contrary to Section 67(1) of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).

The others are Enoch Owusu, media practitioner; Charles Omane aka One Gig, a businessman; Emmanuel Kofi Gyasi, a television presenter; and one Andy, who is on the run.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges and were admitted to a GH¢100,000 bail with three sureties each by the court presided over by Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah.

Prosecution document presented to the court indicates that Agradaa, who owns Thunder TV, sometime in 2020, hosted a programme on her TV station “and intentionally showed the naked pictures of the prophet, who is the complainant in the case, on live TV and made mockery of him with all the other accused persons who were panelists on the said programme encouraging her on the course.”

“The said programme was also streamed live on YouTube and Facebook, where a witness, in this case, saw it and informed the complainant about it. The 1st accused (Agradaa) also intentionally distributed intimate images of the complainant to a witness in this case via WhatsApp.”

The facts state that the complainant reported the matter to police for assistance and all the accused persons with the exception of the one on the run, during investigation, identified themselves as those on the show when it was replayed to them.

“Police retrieved the intimate images of the complainant which were shared or distributed by 1st accused Patricia Asiedua. In the course of investigation, the programme on which the intimate images were shown was retrieved by Police and played back to all the accused persons who identified themselves in the video of the programme hosted by 1st accused,” the facts added.
