Even as the nation and for that matter the entire globe is drifted by digitalization, some schools seem to have difficulties in accessing them.

While some are due to the cost to accessing it others are not even having the opportunity to even bear the cost.

It becomes worse when it happens in the education service.

The Osino Methodist JHS is not left out as pupils study Information Communication Technology (ICT), do not have access to practically using computers.

The headmistress of Osino Methodist JHS in the fanteakwa South District in the eastern region, Mrs Faustina Arku cries for help in building an ICT Lab and staff common room.

In an interview with Obido of Radio 1, the headmistress revealed pressing issues in the school.

“We need a lot of help but the most pressing one is an ICT lab and a staff common room. We have written through the Ghana Education Service to a lot of institutions in the district and other well meaning individuals. As I speak, we have exhausted all avenues in building the ICT lab. We don’t know what to do again. We are helpless and need help.” – Headmistress stated.

She stressed that the school’s performance in ICT is affected mostly because of lack of ICT lab.

Even as she sought for help, she acknowledged the support from other institutions, individuals and the district Assembly but like Oliver Twist, asked for more.

Osino Methodist JHS needs attention, let’s support them.
