Osiem Savior Church Donates To Koforidua Prisons

The Savior church of Ghana, Osiem, donates items worth GHC20,000.00 to inmates of koforidua Local Prison in the Eastern region
The food items were made up of; Plantain, Maize and Rice. A cash amount of GHS1,000.00 was added to take care of some other pressing needs confronting them.
In an interview with Radio 1 News Reporter, Sompahemaa Ama Adiepena, the Church Presbyter, Mr Jacob Asirifi revealed that the church made the donation upon appeal from the Koforidua Prison Service to support the inmates.
He added that the Bible calls on Christians to support each other especially when they are in need for which reason the Saviour Church of Ghana, Osiem, acted upon the request.
The delegation from Saviour Church of Ghana to present the items were Mr Jacob Asirifi – the church presbyter, Mr. Enock Ofori – General secretary, Mr. Isaac Asirifi Darko – National vice Chairman and Mr Atta Kofi, a member of the church.

Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates, the officer-in-charge of the facility and Deputy Director of Prisons, Mr Christopher Hayibor, thanked Opayin Abraham Adusei and the Saviour church of Ghana for the kind gesture but like Oliver Twist, asked for more.
“The donation is timely and it will go a long way in helping to improve the food situation in the prison. May God bless you all especially the General Superintendent, Opanyin Abraham Adusei.” – He happily expressed
Mr Christopher called on the other Churches to emulate the Saviour church of Ghana, Osiem and come to the aid of the inmates at Koforidua Prison to supplement government’s effort in feeding them.
The Savior Church of Ghana is an indigenous Ghanaian Church. The church is headquartered at Osiem in the eastern region. The Saviour church of Ghana lives by the 10 commandments given by God through Moses for the Israelites as espoused in Exodus 20.
