Getting multiple 2023 VGMA nominations is even a big win for me – Lasmid

Ghanaian artist Nathaniel Owusu popularly referred to as Lasmid has reacted to his nominations for Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA).
Charterhouse and the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) launched the 24th edition of the award program a few days ago as he unveiled the nominees for each category.

The young artist had three nominations in the Best New Artist of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Best Hiplife Song categories at the 2023 VGMA with his Friday Night hit song.

While speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property Radio in Cape Coast. Lasmid stated that he is excited and considers his multiple nominations as a win.

He remarked “I don’t know but however it turns out at the VGMAs it’s okay with me because just as people are saying I deserve an award maybe I might not even win.

“But we are monitoring and looking forward to it so that’s my idea for any of the nominations I got at this year’s VGMAs,” he disclosed.

He said on Showbiz on Property “If it happens that I win the new artiste of the year that’s fine and if I don’t win we will continue to work hard because getting nominations is even a win for me”.
