The assembly member for Adasawase electoral in the Atiwa East constituency in the Eastern region Godfred K Gyasi in an interview with Radio1 morning show has pleaded with Ghana Tourism Authority to come to their rescue as they are losing Tini waterfall.

Speaking to the host Nana Kwabena Addo, he said this has generated a lot of money for the assembly but they will soon lose it.

“The tourist site attracts both foreigners and the local indigenous people to the place,” he stated.

Sitting on why they would soon lose the waterfall he stressed: “The headwater of the fall has been given out as a concession to a timber operator who has started working at the site which is affecting the flow of the Tini waterfalls, but we cannot identify the person in charge of this action against the waterfalls but all that he knows is that, the timber operator is from Begoro.”
