Bright Keteku, a 22-year-old farmer, was butchered on the neck by Kwasi Odame, a suspected wee smoker, over missing Ghc70 cash.
Panto Village, near Tinkong in Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern region, was the scene of the incident.
After regaining consciousness on his sick bed, the victim told Bryt News that he returned from snail hunting at midnight on the fateful day (Wednesday) and discovered that his Ghc70 cedis had been stolen from his room.
He immediately suspected Kwasi Odame, who lives in the same neighborhood and is known for thievery after stealing his Ghc20 previously.

This sparked a heated argument between them, and Kwasi Odame allegedly inflicted a deep cutlass wound on his neck.
He became unconscious and fell to the ground in a pool of blood. The suspect abetted by some unknown accomplices carried the victim and dumped him in the bush.
He was however discovered the next day in the afternoon battling for life in the bush and was rushed to the surgical unit of the Eastern Regional Hospital.
He regained consciousness on Friday after the deep cut stitched. The victim’s father, Yaw Asare, said the case had been reported to the Adweso District Police Command. The suspect was arrested Friday and transferred to Adawso police for investigation.
