After Parliament approved the cultivation of cannabis for industrial purposes, there have been mixed reactions about the decision.
A group are against while a section are jubilating for the decision taking.
However, a member of the Rastafari council who doubles as a member of the Herbs Association of Ghana, Kofi Aboagye could not hide his joy after the bill that gives green light for cannabis to be cultivated in Ghana for commercial purposes.
In a phone interview with Obido on Radio 1, he explained the benefits of the cannabis and added that if using cannabis is a crime, the God is the chief criminal.

“I use cannabis and if a criminal has used cannabis and has gone to commit crime, it doesn’t mean anyone who uses cannabis is a criminal. If the use of marijuana is a crime, then God himself is a criminal” – Kofi Aboagye addressed.
Kofi further stated that it needs to be regulated even as he advised people to venture into the business of farming marijuana.
