Residents of Burkum – Tsretsom near Klo Agogo, in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region, are calling on the government to give priority to the construction of the School building in the Community.
The local M/A School at Burkum Tsretsom is in dire need of infrastructure and logistics for the academic progress of the pupils.
The Dademaste Tetteh Kweku said the construction of Burkum-Tsretsom M/A School is not beyond the capabilities of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Tetteh.
He said, “They have severally petitioned authorities to consider reshaping the road and school, but nothing has been done, hence their decision to boycott the 2024 general election if the School and the road are not constructed.”

The headmaster of the School added that the School had become a death trap.
“The School is our main concern; we have made numerous appeals to the Municipal Assembly to come and roof the JHS that the former MCE, Hon. Kubualo Tetteh, built, but all our appeals have fallen on deaf ears.”
He then pleads with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals for assistance to replace the currently dilapidated structure.
