Alan Kyerematen would surround himself with the same people he severed connections with within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to Henry Osei Akoto, a prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The former NDC candidate for Oforikrom in parliament called them “thieves,” claiming that if Alan succeeds in becoming the nation’s first independent president, little will change after he takes office.
Henry Osei Akoto encouraged people not to trust Alan Kyerematen, a former candidate for the NPP’s flag, in a tweet.
If Alan Kyerematen were to be elected the next president of Ghana, he would install the same NPP thieves as ministries and CEOs.

“They will continue to loot the country just like under Akufo-Addo. Don’t trust him. Vote for @JDMahama to turn things around,” he posted on the X app (formerly Twitter).
After formally resigning from the government’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen declared his intention to run for president as an independent in 2024.
The former Minister of Trade and Industry is mobilizing support for his transformational agenda and his Movement for Change among the nation’s youth.
