Samuel Awuah Dankwa Joins Chiefs In Atiwa West To Commemorate Akwasidae

In the heart of the Eastern Region of Ghana, nestled among the lush greenery and rich traditions, the annual Akwasidae festival was a momentous occasion for the people of Atiwa West. This vibrant celebration of culture and heritage brought together the community in a joyous display of unity and respect for their roots.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance was Samuel Awuah Dankwa, the Founder of Awuah Dankwa Education Foundation and CEO of the Marketicons Group of Companies, a man whose vision extended far beyond business success.

On the bright and sunny morning of Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, Samuel Awuah Dankwa, along with his dedicated team, embarked on a noble mission. Their purpose was to visit different Chiefs, each holding a significant role in Atiwa’s history and traditions.

Their first stop was at the palace of Osabarima Adigye Gyamfi II, the revered Chief of Akyem Akrofufu. Amidst a warm and colorful welcome, Samuel Awuah Dankwa officially introduced his bid to become the MP Aspirant on the ticket of the NPP to the Chief, expressing his genuine interest in the well-being of the Atiwa West constituency. He acknowledged the importance of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the area. Osabarima Adigye Gyamfi advised the followers of Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa to be honest and dedicated and work hard to support Mr. Awuah Dankwa. Osabarima asked for his Ancestors to protect and bless Mr. Awuah Dankwa for all his good deeds in the community.

He advised Mr. Awuah to continue to be humble and never change should he become the next MP of Atiwa West. He referred to Mr. Awuah Dankwa as a son of Akyem Akrofufu because of the long history of friendship between Akrofufu Asona royal family and the Akyem Bomaa Asona royal family.

Next on their journey was a visit to Barima Owusu Beyeeman, Chief of Akyem Muoso. With respect and humility, Samuel Awuah Dankwa conveyed his commitment to the development of the area. He emphasized his strong belief in education as a catalyst for progress and prosperity. Barima Owusu Beyeeman, chief of Mouso and his elders blessed and prayed for Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa for remembering and honouring them and their Ancestors on Akwasidae and coming home to observe the day with them. They asked for God’s guidance and protection for Mr. Samuel Awuah Dankwa

Their third destination led them to Barimah Okoto Danso II, the Akyem Pameng Hene. Here, Samuel Awuah Dankwa continued to share his aspirations for Atiwa West and expressed his desire to work closely with the Chiefs to uplift the community. His words resonated with sincerity and purpose.

Last year, Samuel Awuah Dankwa, a former student of PRESEC Legon, embarked on a tour of various schools in preparation for the Basic Education Certificate Examination in Atiwa West Constituency.

During his tour, he also addressed students who expressed an interest in attending his alma mater. Among them, a student who aspired to further their education at PRESEC, Kelvin Asumeng Danso, achieved an impressive aggregate score of 12. Consequently, yesterday at Akyem Pameng, the Awuah Dankwa Education Foundation (ADEF), awarded Kelvin with a full educational scholarship. Kelvin is a brilliant-but-needy first year student of PRESEC Legon.

This scholarship is to cover Kelvin’s education from Senior High School to the University if he continues to stay in school and make good grades.

Barima Okoto Danso II who referred to Mr. Awuah Dankwa as his true brother was full of praise for Mr. Awuah Dankwa. Barima said his own vision for the people of Akyem Pameng and that of his brother, Mr. Awuah Dankwa were in line and thus he believes Mr. Awuah should be given the opportunity to help develop Atiwa West. Barima said that anyone who supports the education of our children is a visionary leader that must be supported and given the opportunity to serve Atiwa West Constituency.

As the Spokesperson for the Awuah Dankwa Education Foundation, Mr. Hanson Appiakorang stood before the Chiefs and elders, and shared a profound message.
The foundation’s mission was to support brilliant but needy students in the area, ensuring they had the resources and opportunities for a brighter future.

Mr. Appiakorang spoke passionately about Samuel Awuah Dankwa’s dedication to education and his desire to use every available means to nurture the young talents of Atiwa West. He emphasized that the visit was not just a formality but a sincere effort to seek the blessings of the Chiefs and to build a partnership that would contribute to the development of Atiwa West.

Amid the traditional dances and vibrant cultural displays of the Akwasidae festival, a new bond was formed. Samuel Awuah Dankwa and the Chiefs of Atiwa West had come together with a shared vision – a vision of progress, education, and prosperity for their cherished land, Atiwa West.

Samuel Awuah Dankwa, an entrepreneur and a parliamentary candidate hopeful for Atiwa West constituency for the New Patriotic Party, before leaving, carried with him not only the Chiefs’ blessings but also the hopes and dreams of the people he aimed to serve. With education at the heart of his mission, he set out on a path that held the promise of a brighter future for Atiwa West.
