Samuel Adongo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for New Juaben North, has called for a peaceful demonstration. His motivation is to draw attention to the roads’ dire condition and pressure the government to allocate resources and take the necessary actions to address this problem.
Speaking on the Radio 1 Morning Show, Adongo argues that improved road infrastructure is not just a matter of convenience but a fundamental necessity for the residents of New Juaben North. He believes that better roads will not only enhance the quality of life for the community but also stimulate economic growth and development in the region.
“We are highly disappointed in the NPP government. We are coming to do a serious demonstration at New Juabeng North,” he told the host, Nana Kwabena Addo
“The day we demonstrate, the elders will know that we are very serious and disappointed. If this government is saying that New Juabeng North is their stronghold, he is taking the people at New Juabeng like they are nobody,” he added.

Samuel Adongo’s call for a demonstration reflects the frustration that many residents in New Juaben North feel about the state of the roads. A peaceful protest can serve as a powerful tool to mobilize public opinion and raise awareness about the issue.
“Year of Roads, New Juabeng North is not part; what did the New Juabeng North benefit from the year of roads? The major road in the town is in terrible condition. We are going to do something that has not happened before”.
