An aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abuakwa South has allegedly introduced an unconventional approach to garner support from delegates.
According to Radio 1 reporter Akua Acheampomaa Owoahene, he requested that each delegate take an oath after receiving GHc5,000
Speaking to the media, the Communication Director of Abuakwa North, Stephen Osei Owusu, confirmed the claim and said, “Some of the delegates came to me with the news, and I went to the house to confirm that he is giving delegates 5,000 Ghana cedis, and before taking the money, you will swear an oath.”
“He has a black stool, so before taking the 5,000 Ghana cedis, you will be asked to sit on the stool, and an egg will be given to you to swear that you will vote for him, so we have asked delegates not to engage him,” he added.
