The current member of Parliament(MP) for Abuakwa North, Gifty Twum Ampofo, has lost the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries to a new entrant.
The total number of votes expected in Abuakwa North is 523.
Gifty Twum Ampofo polled 202, Boakye Danquah Palgrave polled 76, Nana Kwadwo Manfe polled 4 and Nana Ampaw Addo 222 while Kofi Obeng Ansah had 4 votes
The EC represented declared Nana Kwadwo Ampaw as the winner for Abuakwa North constituency.
