Wild jubilations as Duke Ofori-Atta whips Arafat in Fanteakwa South NPP primaries

In the just-ended NPP primaries, Kofi Okyere Agyekum, popularly known as Arafat, the sitting Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, has faced a setback in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

Arafat polled 95 of the votes with Duke Ofori-Atta getting 273, 44 for Abdul Razak, Louisa Boakye 16, and Joseph Nana Akomea.

The total number of votes cast was 429, with 1 ballot rejected.

The EC official declared Duke Ofori Atta the winner for Fantekwa South.
