Cook-a-thon: Chef Ebenezer Smith goes more than 600 hours; set to end on March 6

Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer Smith, who is attempting to break the current world record for the longest cooking time by an individual, has exceeded 600 hours of cooking.
Chef Smith has cooked for 610 hours, Monday being day 26 at the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex. He begun his cooking marathon on February 1 and expected to end on March 6,2024.
Notable Ghanaian celebrities like Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, Kwaku Manu, SDK, OB Amponsah and others have thronged the premises where the marathon is ongoing to support Chef Smith.
The Amadia Shopping Centre is the headline sponsor of Chef Simth’s cook-a-thon.

Already, another Ghanaian Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak has embarked on similar record attempt cooking for 227 hours.
Clad in the national flag, Abdul-Razak concluded the cook-a-thon with an emotional salute in Tamale in January.
Describing it as a “national assignment,” she expressed her dedication to Ghana. The crowd cheered as she exited the hotel kitchen.
Failatu’s attempt is yet to be officialy confirmed by the Guinness World Records.
