Five school children killed in Nkawkaw crash to be laid to rest today

Five school children who tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident at Nkawkaw in Eastern Region will be laid to rest today.

The victims are Gafatsi Marcus (3yrs), Asare Joseph (9yrs), Kwasi Nyarko Larry (12yrs), Acher Binney (4yrs), and Jerome Harmenu (7yrs).

Meanwhile the one week observation of the alleged pregnant teacher who also died will preceed the burial of the deceased children.

The fatal crash occurred on February 15, 2024, involving an Ampea Memorial school bus and state-registered vehicle for a District Chief Executive travelling on Accra to Kumasi highway.

Though seventeen children were injured in the ghastly accident, they have since been treated and discharged from hospitals in Nkawkaw and Koforidua.
