Sad as late Ghanaian fashion designer Pokua Poku laid to rest

The late Ghanaian fashion designer and creative director of the renowned fashion brand Poqua Poqu has been laid to rest.

Antoinette Pokua Poku Mouhtiseb was  buried on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Lashibi Funeral Home.

The late Pokua was celebrated for her distinctive style and innovative designs. Her unfortunate passing has left an indelible mark on the world of fashion and will create a void in the hearts of many who admired her for her genuity and creativity.

She died on Wednesday, February 14, at age 42.

The funeral proceedings held at the Lashibi Funeral Home were attended by fellow designers, celebrities, industry insiders, politicians and admirers.

Some celebrities spotted at the funeral grounds were John Dumelo, Sister Derby amongst others.

Eulogies trooped in for Pokua for not just her brilliant and creative fashion designs but also her philanthropic endeavours.

The Ghanaian fashion community came together to honor her legacy. Her designs, known for blending traditional African aesthetics with modern elegance, will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations of designers.
