SONA: We can no longer take the territorial integrity of our country for granted – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has that given the violent extremism that is currying in parts of West Africa, Ghana can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted

To that end, he said that the government took deliberate planning to keep the country safe and secure.

He says Ghana has not been affected by the extremism that is occurring in neighboring countries because of the proper planning.

The armed forces and all the security agencies have been resourced with their welfare prioritized, he said during the delivery of the State of the Nation address on Tuesday February 27.

“Our nation is “safe and secure.” he said.

The police , he added, are much better equipped than they have ever been, he added.

Citing the extremism occurring in other parts of West Africa, he said  “we can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted.”
